Business analysts work as liaisons among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. They bridge the gap – translating between business needs and IT – and understand the organization, the users and IT. Business analysts must have a broad range of business, technical and interpersonal skills.

Program – Sub Modules

Business Analysis Fundamentals

This course teaches participants the overall process of business analysis and where it fits in the bigger picture of the project life cycle and the business context.

Facilitation Skills for Business Analysts

This course teaches the methods needed to organize and run information-gathering events. It combines the basics of graphic decision making and modeling with facilitation, communication, and meeting management skills.

Business Process Modeling

This course teaches the technique of process modeling and ties together the core methods of process, and data modeling to enable business analysts to fully describe business processes in levels of detail from multiple perspectives. It includes information on context diagrams, data-flow diagrams, data modeling techniques, workflow and process modeling as well as Unified Modeling Language (UML), Use Case models, and activity diagrams.

Writing and Managing Requirements Documents

This course will enhance the skill set needed for writing and managing requirements for the complex readership that business analysts interact with on a day-to-day basis.
