My Top 25 Dishes in Baton Roug
Lamb Vindaloo - Bay Leaf
"Rich chunks of lamb swim in a rich, brown gravy flavored with various Indian chilies. This dish is the hottest on the menu and the heat slowly creeps up on you before taking control. However, the heat enhances the flavor and experience of eating hot food done right. Pair it with one of their fresh yogurt drinks to keep the heat in check".

Chicken Tika Masala - Bay Leaf
"Not many dishes have impressed me like the chicken tika masala at Bay Leaf. The chicken is rubbed with yogurt and other Indian spices and cooked inside a tandoor oven. The chicken is then cut into chunks and placed into a rich masala sauce. The tika masala sauce is made with curry, tomatoes, and coconut milk. Served with their aromatic rice and fresh na'an bread makes for a perfect meal. If you haven't, please try this dish!"

Bay Leaf offers exceptional dining adventure
"It offers a fine-dining ambiance with white tablecloths and a tasteful interior of earth tones accented by prints depicting the restaurant's namesake seasoning, interesting light fixtures and a wait staff that is slightly formal but helpful. The latter quality is especially appreciated by those of us who enter the establishment knowing next to nothing about the style of food".
"Following the waiter's appetizer suggestions, we sampled the lamb sooley ($8.75), which is grilled lamb marinated in lemon and garlic and served on a skewer, and mix bhajia ($6.50), crisp fritters made of cauliflower, potato, paneer cheese, spinach and onion. Both were pleasantly spiced, and we further accented them with the tart mint and sweet tamarind dipping sauces that came with the complimentary crisp bread"
"Our favorite was the chicken malai kabob ($11.95), a large chicken breast that is marinated in garlic, ginger, coriander, malai cream and yogurt, split open and charcoal grilled in a tandoor oven. This is the most amazingly moist white chicken meat we've ever been served, and accompanying onions and thinly sliced peppers and other seasonings are both visually pleasing and tasty"

Bay Leaf – Restaurant review
"For those who want to try Indian cuisine without committing to a lengthy dinner or staring down a menu with lots of foreign words, Bay Leaf offers a popular lunch buffet".
"His extensive menu runs laps around the Asian sub-continent, cooking up dozens of kebabs, curry, tandoori, lamb, seafood, salad, crepe, rice and vegetarian dishes from all corners of India. All are as exotic as their names promise".
"The chefs at Bay Leaf know their spices well. Each and every dish had a distinctive taste and unique preparation, a difficult feat to achieve for Indian restaurants"

"We visited your restaurant last night. None of us had previously been to an Indian restaurant. It was my friend’s birthday, and he wanted to try it out. When we arrived, I really wasn’t sure we were going to like it. At first, it appeared to be a very formal restaurant. Our waiter was very helpful in making selections for our table. The food was excellent! We all enjoyed it very much, and the service was great ".
I just wanted to let you know that we had a really great time last night and plan to visit your restaurant again.

Thank you,

I with my wife, daughter & grandchildren enjoyed first New year Buffet Lunch just now in your Restaurant. I & my family had been to many Indian restaurants in Australia, Canada & America namely Indian Thali etc, etc in Melbourne, Australia, Brar's Restaurant in Brampton Toronto Canada , Spice Avenue,Jackson MS, Nirvarna,Magzine St. New Orleans & many more but I have no where seen so much variety of Buffets you have in your Lunch Buffet except Brar's in Toronto & your every item is so tasty one eats more than one's capacity . At least me & my family when ever to your restaurant think what to eat or what not to eat because every preparation is absolutely to a real Indian taste moreover in America & get overfed. So we award ***** to your restaurant because there is no match to you except Brar's Toronto. Every appreciation to you & your Chefs. Keep it up for the best services to whole community. We Wish every success & happy New Year 2017 to you & your staff. Hans & Khangura Family.
