The 7 Nepalese nationals who had been contributing to educate poor & orphan children for many year in Nepal founded Himali Bal Kalyan Samrakschen Manch (Forum for the Welfare of Himalayan Children). Initiated by Mr. Raj K. Shrestha, Chairman who personally has deep concern towards making better life of these children, knows the value of an educated person in a family who, indeed, can make a great difference in the life standard. He believes that the sole answer of a better living is through education!
With the motto “Child Education in Nepal”, this Forum is established in 1995 and is registered under His Majesty’s Government, District Administration Office, Kathmandu, (Reg. No. 213/052/53) and is also affiliated with Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu (Affiliation No. 3341) under its rules and regulations.
The Forum’s Administration Office is in Kathmandu however its main activities are focused in Pokhara, Kaski District. This Forum will try to educate poor & orphan children in Nepal as far as possible and all the activities, which this Forum will carry out, will be based on its capacity, source of fund & this will certainly be decided by the Board Meetings.
The Forum is initially established to uplift the needy, orphan & backward children of the country through which it hopes to further uplift the entire existing family members of the child. This will certainly bring positive changes and provide support to children welfare scheme of Government of Nepal.
Education lies in the “basic need” category and it has been declared as a vital necessity for the people of our country. The Forum hopes that its little effort can definitely contribute to uplift the poor & orphan children of our country, who are the foundation of better Nepal in future.Read More...
