The Forum started its work from the 01st of January 1996 and it is now running on the 7th year of its activities. It initially brought 7 Children from different parts of the country and now has 45 Children who are getting full support from this Forum for their entire schooling, fooding & lodging.
The fund to carry out the works of this Forum was donated by individual donors and a German organization called Freundeskreis Nepalhilfe e.V. Bad –Endbach, presided by Mr. Alexander Schmidt.
At the moment, the Forum is fully dependant on individual donors and Freundeskreis Nepalhilfe e.V. Germany, it is also trying to become self reliant as well as a sustainable help organization in Nepal. As it is committed for making a better life of poor & orphan children in the country, the donor agency has assured us to provide all the necessary funds to carry out FWHC’s entire projects in Nepal for which we are very thankful.
July 2004
The Board Meeting of FWHC decided to admit following new children in children Village:
purchase a curdless telephone set for its children village located at Sarangkot –4, Bhakunde Bagar. The area where our Children village is located, has no telephone connection and it was very necessary for FWHC/Pokhara to purchase this set, which helped communication between the village, Pokhara office and Kathmandu office very smooth.
In August 2001, the Board Meeting of FWHC decided to buy a bus to transfer its children from the Children village to Pokhara city, where they go for schooling. Due to no reliable and timely bus services from Bhakunde Bagar to Pokhara, it was very difficult for our children to reach the school on time. The distance between Pokhara city and Bhakunde Bagar (Children village) is approximately 4 & half Kilo Meters.
FWHC also employed 2 personnel from the surrounding area as a Driver and Helper, thus creating a employment opportunity to the locat people as well. Besides, we also discussed about expanding our social works to the more region in Nepal.
During this month, FWHC also received a sum of Rs 2,53,840/- (Ner Two Lakhs Fifty Three Thousand Eight Hundred Fourty) from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to install 3 Solar Kitchen in the village. FWHC thanked the Embassy for granting this sum of rupees to our children village in Pokhara, which had, obviously, inspired us a lot to do more on children welfare activities in Nepal.
In September 2001, FWHC also completed registration formalities of the Bus, which FWHC bought, for the purpose of transporation in Pokhara.
In October 2001, FWHC’s children village in Pokhara received 3 solar kitchen panels from ‘Solar Power and Engineering Works (SPEW)’ and the technicians from SPEW installed the Kitchen very successfully. The fund for this purpose was provided the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Kathmandu.
During the Dashain festival in October 2001, children received necessary clothings, gifts from the elders and they celebrated the festival with joy. Part of our activities in Nepal includes the children in the village to encaurage them to respect their culture and let live as they are!
In November 2001, the FWHC-Pokhara bought 3 Refrigerators for its houses in the children village. It helped a lot to save excess food, which usually, were thrown due to no cooling system in the children village. It also helped keep our green vegetables ‘edible’ at any time!
During this month, the Chairman of FWHC also visited children village in Kaski and found its activities in the village satisfactory. He also received good feedback from the Co-workers/Team in Pokhara and gave necessary instruction

During the fiscal year 2001/2002, some members of Freundeskreis Nepalhilfe e.V. Germany, came to Nepal and visited our house in Pokhara. They left us with a very nice feedback about our works in Pokhara.
Basically the 7th fiscal year (2001/2002) of this Forum completed enthusiastically & successfully. This Forum appreciates every individual or organization who have supported us, FWHC, wholeheartedly to implement its plans & program more smoothly in year 2001/2002. We are very grateful to each and every individual and organization, particularly, Freundeskreis Nepalhilfe e.V., a German based NGO, which have been supporting us from the time of FWHC’s existence. It also hopes to receive the same cooperation in the years to come. Indeed, every individual’s little contribution can change the world of poor & orphan children a better one.
