Welcome to Forum For the Welfare Of Himalayan Children !
The Forum works very closely with the poor, orphans and needy children on the ground level in order to support the real needy children of the country. All the decisions that are taken by the Board Meeting of this Forum are under the rules and regulations of Government of Nepal. The Forum will also seek the help of DAO, SWC, NG etc to implement its plan & programs more effectively as and when necessary.
This Forum is largely dependant financially on international and national NGOs and individual donors. It is also working towards becoming self-reliant by planning and implementing some income generating projects. At this stage, it is impossible to prophesy exact length of time required for becoming self-reliant. It is vivid that a “children welfare project” requires a length of time to become self-reliant.
For the year 2004/05, the Forum brought 37 Children into its newly contructed ‘Children Village’ at Bhakunde Bagar, Pame, Sarangkot –4, Kaski, and their school fees, lodging & fooding were provided with the help/fund donated by individual donors as well as its major donor organization based in Germany, Freundeskreis Nepalhilfe e.V, presided by Mr. Alexander Schmidt.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The aims & objectives of the Forum are:
- To carry out such construction programs which will bring about improvement in the social, economic and cultural conditions of the backward tribes and aboriginal tribes
- To make arrangements for the housing and fooding for the helpless children in the society and to launch country-wide literacy programs in order to keep up their dignity high and to uplift their educational and intellectual standard; and to inform them about the legal rights and interest by organizing seminars, conferences and training programs.
- To give emphasis on the implementation of such development construction work which upgrades the living standards of the rural children and the village people concerned in respect thereto.
- To give more emphasis on an adult and child education as far as practicable, to operate school as well, after making consultation with the body concerned in order to raise Nepal's education conditions.
- To give more emphasis on implementing sustainable child education projects through out the country, especially those areas where education is still a dream.
- To believe and let other believe that the education is a "must" for a better & harmonious living.
