Program Description

This program emphasized all aspects of the traditional Nursing Assistant program including Home Health Care plus Advance Nursing Assistant skills, thus allowing the student to qualify as a Patient Care Technician. This program contains a bridge option in which student who has completed Patient Care Assistant Certificate or Nursing Assistant certificate seeking to become a Patient Care Technician (PCT) (290 clock hours) The bridge option is designed to prepare students for employment as advanced training nursing assistant. The program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care.

Objective

To train individuals to become complete patient care givers, encompassing a variety of high demand patient care components. This program is designed so the student can exit at multiple points depending on the students need to secure immediate employment. and, or to exit at a realistic educational level.
