This program entails reviewing the equipment, proper procedures for venipuncture, and specimen, collection and handling procedures complications of phlebotomy. Students in this program will practice drawing blood, the safe use of needles and other equipment proper processing of specimens and safety precautions.
To teach the student the skills and knowledgeneeded to perform quality work as a Phlebotomist in a hospital, nursing home, medical clinic, medical office, or laboratory.
