Colorado Springs, Colo-Meridian Community College's Leon Powell has been named the NJCAA Division Men's Player of the Week. Powel, of Excelsior High School in Kingston, Jamaica recorded 4 goals of 11 shots last week for Meridian Community College, earning NJCAA Player of the week honour.

The 5'9" striker recorded a hat trick against in-state rivals Hinds (3-2).
Powell has been responsible for the teams last seven goals, until Saturday's game against Hinds when assisted the first two and scored the third.
