Dunoon Technical High was Established on November 1, 1979. Dunoon Technical is located in East Kingston, 8 Cawley Road Kingston 2. On a Piece of land formerly known as Dunoon Park or the Old Wembley sports ground. The school was jointly built by the government of Jamaica and the world bank.
Dunoon Technical high school exists for the purpose of providing paramount education for its students. Dunoon Technical is a force to be reckoned with in the boy sporting area. Dunoon has produced some of the finest footballers over the years. In 1998 accomplished the most challenging task in the school's history by winning the school's first manning cup, Walker Cup, and the Olivia shield title. Dunoon has cemented its legacy amongst some of the greatest schoolboy teams over the years.
Ricardo Grant, Born April 1, 1980, grew up in Marvely Kingston, Jamaica. First started is education at the Marvely infant school and transition to Marvel Primary and Junior High School. In 1995 Ricardo Grant attended Dunoon Technical High, where he began to play coles for Dunoon Technical football team. In 1998 Ricardo captained the Dunoon Technical Manning Cup team that captured the school's first Manning Cup title in its school history. Dunoon Technical when on and captured two additional trophies, which are the Walker Cup and the Olivier shield claiming all two major urban titles and one rural title.
