Several years ago, retired Port Authority Detective Ralph LaFemina knew that as a Private Investigator he would be able to expand his services by finding and retaining the most talented people in their specialized fields. He searched the City, State, Federal and Private sector and found 8 men who comprise "THE UNIT".
"THE UNIT" consists of Private Investigators and Security Personnel with a combined total of over 100 years of knowledge and experience in criminal investigation, security, electronic surveillance, bank or tax fraud, ballistics and a variety of other important needed skills.

- Andy McGee - Retired from the N.Y.P.D., McGee is an expert skip tracer, who finds people who don't want to be found. He is also an experienced photographer, specializing in crime scene and personal injury photos.
