Complete Renovation of Cardozo Construction Academy Owner: District of Columbia Public Schools / Office of Facilities Management
Cost: $ 1.9 million / Period: Jul 2006 – Feb 2007 Description: Complete rehabilitation and renovation of the HVAC Lab, Electrical and Carpentry lab at Cardozo Construction Academy which occupied an area of 8,000 S.F. Work included complete architectural renovation, mechanical and electrical upgrade.

The scope of services included within this Job Order Contract covers various construction tasks within the Washington Metropolitan Area, under the District of Columbia Housing Authority; The network covers the Capital Region tri-states of Virginia, District of Columbia and Maryland.
Tasks include rehabilitation, minor alteration, complete renovation, electrical and mechanical upgrades, multiple general construction at HUD housing properties throughout the metropolitan region. Tasks are awarded during the base year contract (5,000,000.00) with five each option year.
Major tasks ongoing or completed to date under this contract include:
- Complete Renovation of Garfield Terrace Town Houses
- Complete Renovation of Efficiency UFAS Units
- Switchgear Replacement at Langston Terrace
- Renovation of Regency Penthouse
- Installation of False Beams for Security System at Various locations
