Participation of Dynamic Corporation as a Consultant in Sierra Leone roads Projects.

• Dynamic Corporation redesigned and supervised the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Tiaima - Bo Highway (85 miles) in the Southern province of the country between 1993 - 1995. This project was one of the components of the Third Road Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Projects (3RRP) funded by the World Bank in the country. This project was almost completed when an increased rebel activities in the Southern province resulted in the destruction and damage to the contractor’s equipment, machinery and tools in mid 1995. Contractor’s claims on the destruction of equipment and machinery were verified and submitted to the World Bank for payment through the Director general of the Sierra Leone Roads Authority.

 

• Dynamic Corporation / Edward Davies Associates were the consultants for the reconstruction of the Freetown - Masiaka Highway (52 Miles). This project was funded by the World Bank under the 3RRP program. It was successfully completed on schedule in November 1994.

 

• The road linking Goodrich to Waterloo town around the capital city of Freetown has caused several premature deaths due to the increased in motor vehicle accidents. Sources of funding for the design and reconstruction of this peninsular road has been of importance to the Governments. This feasibility studies and design costs were secured from Kuwait in 1993 and the project reconstruction was divided into three phases to enable funding to be secured. Phase III for the reconstruction of the Peninsular Project funding was secured from the Kuwaiti Fund and the contract was awarded to a Senegalese Company (CSE) in May 1994. Dynamic Corporation/Edwards Davies Associates were the sole consultants for the project for the construction management and engineering. The construction project was completed on schedule in September 1996.

 

• Dynamic Corporation was one of the consultants to redesign and supervise in the Freetown Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Projects. This project involved improvements to the City market centers, some streets, roads and bridges was also funded by the World Bank. The project commenced in 1994 and was completed in 1997.
