Western Ethiopia Circuit

08 days’ tour to western Ethiopia.

 

Duration: 8 Days.

Transportation: Surface.

Destination: Jimma, MizanTeferi, Kibish, Surma Village, Bebeka.

Day1. Arrival Addis Ababa and sightseeing.

Arrive in Addis Ababa at Bole international airport & meet our staff at the exit gate with our welcome company’s logo and transfer to your hotel and city tour depending up on your arrival time in Addis Ababa such as the Ethiopia national museum, which is one of the most well organized museum in sub-Saharan Africa, holly Trinity church and merkato (Africa's largest open air market) and finally drive to Entoto mountain where you could see the bird view of Addis Ababa with an altitude of 3000 m.O/N hotel.

Day2: Drive to Jimma.

Morning after breakfast drive to Jimma passing through Wolkite on the way visit the Gurage ethnic group with their big circular grass hat house and beautiful scenery over view the Gibe valley and Gilgel Gibe hydro-electric. O/N hotel in Jimma.

Day3: Drive to MizanTeferi.

After breakfast drive to MizanTeferi, passing through coffee plantations. The area is known historicaly for strong Kingdom of Keffa, the birthplace of coffee, from which the name coffee drives. O/N hotel in Minian Teferi.

Day4: Drive Kibish.

Morning drive to Kibish on the way visit the Bebeka coffee plantation, where they cultivate organic coffee trees, tea, spice as well as rubber trees. Short break for visit coffee farm from nursery to the coffee processing techniques. O/N hotel in Kibish.

Day5: Walk through Kibish Surma Village.

Today we will have full day visit of the Surma. O/N camping in Surma.

Day6: Drive to Bebeka.

Morning after breakfast drive to Bebeka via Magi on the way visit the Dizi tribe. The Dizi people are hereditarily very short people who have beehive-like houses, similar to the Dorze. Magi, today we retrace north to Bebeka, where we will stay for overnight guesthouse at the Bebeka Coffee Plantation.

Day7: Drive to Jimma.

Returning back, we continue to Jimma via MizanTeferi. In Jimma you can take a refreshing time by your own: swimming, walking, shopping and feeling the city. O/N hotel in Jimma.

Day8: Drive back to Addis Ababa.

Morning after breakfast drive back to Addis Ababa. Evening a farewell dinner then departure back to home.
