On this job there was a failing BAC tower that was very inconvenient to shut down for service since it required a full shut down, so they decided to replace it with Tower Tech and split the load for the two chillers with a 2-fan unit and a 3-fan unit. Even on cooler days when only one chiller is required for the load, they run both towers at a much lower RPM and BHP which also lowers the dBA (decibel level) for the surrounding area. The fiberglass (FRP) construction of Tower Tech will have a much longer life and it comes with a 15 Year Warranty vs. the 5 Year Warranty of the metal tower (if it is full SS).
