A downtown San Diego landmark that was built in 1910 needed to replace their BAC cooling tower. Since they are close to the ocean, there were many corrosion troubles with this metal tower.

The body of Tower Tech is a Fiberglass (FRP) that has a 15 Year Warranty where the metal towers have a 5 Year Warranty if they are full SS, so Tower Tech was an easy pick.

The Tower Tech 6-fan tower was used and if a motor ever went down, the other 5 motors would go to a slightly higher RPM and two service people would take the motor down for repair. The metal tower that was being replaced had a single motor that you would need a crane to get to. With one motor down, the whole tower would be down, and the hotel would also need to get a rental tower to be brought in and connected which is all time and money.
