Krishnaveni Putrevu -- Natraj Odissi Kalamandir -- Bio Data

Nataraj Odissikalamandir was founded by Mrs. Krishnaveni Putrevu in the year 2005. She has been trained by her Guru, Sri NabaKishore Mishra, in the style of Padmashree Guru Sri Kelucharan Mohapatra and Guru Sri Deba Prasad. She is a graduate dancer from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. She has performed widely and has received critical acclaims, for her award-winning performances, all over India and abroad. She and her students take active participation in most of the cultural events conducted in Dallas metroplex. Krishnaveni Putrevu started learning Odissi at the age of 8. She has been trained in classical Indian Odissi dance style by her accomplished Guru, Sri NabaKishore Mishra, in the style of Padmashree Guru Sri Kelucharan Mohapatra and Guru Sri Deba Prasad Das. She is the Artistic Director of Natraj Odissikalamandir. Her zest took her to perform widely all over India and abroad.
She has received critical acclaims, for her award-winning performances.
She was selected as an UNESCO Cultural Exchange Ambassador from India from the Regional Institute of Education and was awarded by UNESCO in 1997.
Recently she performed in Paradise Island, Bahamas and had been chosen by Bahamas government to do workshop once a year.
