Crowns : Dental crowns provide full tooth protection and coverage.

    Benefits include :

  • The Process: 2 visits
  • 1. First visit : The first appointment prepares the tooth. To ensure that the crown can fit in securely and comfortably, the tooth is filed and reshaped. Local anesthetic is used for this procedure.
An impression (or mold) of your teeth and gums are made with a paste and then sent to a lab. The lab technicians will then put together your crown (takes 2-3 weeks). Until the crown is ready, you will be given a temporary crown.
  • 2. Second visit : At the second appointment, your permanent crown is checked to make sure that the fit and shade is correct. Your dentist will them remove the temporary crown and cement the permanent crown onto your tooth.

Bridges : A dental bridge is basically its name, a bridge that bridges the gap by missing teeth. It is made of two or more crowns that surrounds the tooth that will replace the gap. The outside teeth surrounding the area around the gap is called an abutment. The tooth in the middle that will cover the gap is a false tooth.

    Benefits include :
  • Replace missing teeth.
  • Help keep teeth in position.
  • Fix your smile.
  • Can last 15+ years.
  • The Process: 2 visits
  • 1. First visit : The teeth that surrounds the space (also known as abutment teeth), where the missing tooth is are prepared. The preparation consists of removing some of the enamel to provide room for the crown to fit over it. Impressions are than taken of the tooth to serve as a model where the bridge, pontic, and crowns will be created in a lab. In the meantime, your dentist will make a temporary bridge for you to wear while the lab makes the permanent bridge.
  • 2. Second visit : During this visit, your temporary bridge will be taken out and the new bridge will be placed to check the fit. Depending on the fit of the framework and bite, multiple visits may be required.
