Nelson G. Bentley, Ph.D.

Licensed Psychologist

Nelson G. Bentley, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist who specializes is the treatment of adults who are dealing with a wide range of problems including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, adult ADHD, OCD, and life adjustment issues such as loss, grief, health issues, interpersonal issues and life adjustment/transition problems. Dr. Bentley provides individual, marital, and couple's counseling, and will also assist with parenting issues. Dr. Bentley has been engaged in full-time clinical practice for over 30 years and he utilizes a goal-focused therapeutic approach.

Jean F. Ayers, Psy.D, MSHS, PA-C

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Ayers has been a practicing psychologist in the Baltimore area for more than 20 years. She sees adolescents and adults of all ages with varying clinical presentations, including anxiety, panic, depression, trauma reactions, eating disorders, and psychological factors affecting physical illness. Dr. Ayers has a strong interest in women's issues and in the integration of mind/body medicine. In addition to specialty training in cognitive behavior therapy, brief solution-oriented therapy, hypnosis, and psychodymanic therapy, she has studied yoga, mindfulness meditation, herbalism, and dance therapy as potentially beneficial adjuncts to traditional psychotherapeutic techniques.

Terri DeLay, Ph.D.

Licensed Psychologist

Terri DeLay, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist who has been treating adults and adolescents with issues of anxiety, depression, and general stresses in their lives for over 25 years. Along with her extensive experience treating general depression and various types of anxiety, including OCD and PTSD, she has also helped many address conflicts in their relationships, marriages, and with their families including many in same-sexed relationships. Dr. DeLay's additional areas of specialty include difficulties with life transitions, counseling for losses and grief, women's issues, fertility concerns, and medical issues that impact one's psychological wellbeing. She works with individual adults and adolescents, couples, and families, including difficulties in parenting. Dr. DeLay encourages those in her care to be actively involved in their own personal growth and makes use of her background in cognitive behavior therapy and family systems approaches to therapy to develop a plan for treatment best suited for the individual.

Cindy Hunter, Ph.D.

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Hunter is a licensed psychologist with a Ph.D. in combined Clinical and School Psychology. Dr. Hunter specializes in cognitive-behavioral treatments for a variety of problems such as depression, anxiety, stress management, ADHD, adjustment problems, childhood behavioral problems, parenting issues, and women's issues with individuals, couples and families of all ages.

Tamra Shockley, Psy.D.

Licensed Psychologist

Tamra A. Shockley, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist who specializes in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology and serves assessment and therapy clients who are ages 16 years and older. Her assessment focus involves a variety of testing areas including neuropsychology, psychoeducational assessment, pre-surgical evaluation, and psychological evaluations. Her psychotherapy focus includes treatment of individuals presenting with issues such as anxiety, depression, cognitive dysfunction, and relationship problems. Social, scholastic, and vocational difficulties, as well as adjustment to unexpected or difficult life circumstances are also commonly addressed themes. These difficulties are therapeutically treated through client-centered, individualized focus with utilization of methods such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Positive Psychology, Existential Psychology, Ecological Systems Theory, and Motivational Interviewing techniques, as well as Holistic and Wellness techniques.

Shelby Schestag, MS, NCC, CAC-AD, LCPC

Shelby Schestag is a licensed clinical professional counselor who specializes in treatment of adult and young adult populations with presenting problems related to stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD (adult), substance use, life transitions, relationships, parenting skills, and mind/body therapies, as well as other mental health concerns. Shelby is able to adapt the session to fit the presenting needs of the client and assist in exploring, uncovering and finding the persons best self. She offers an environment that is open, non-judgmental, and genuine where the client can feel free to explore their inner selves. Her goal is to help those struggling and guide them on their road in change, personal growth, and healing.

Stephanie James, NCP, LCPC

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

Stephanie James is a licensed clinical professional counselor and certified teacher who has worked with children and adults for over 20 years. She has experience working in medical, school and private practice settings providing consultation to staff, cognitive behavior therapy and psycho-education. She strives to provide counseling interventions which not only alleviate immediate symptoms but also facilitate greater self understanding. Stephanie's belief is that counseling is an investment that can enhance the quality of life by helping people to develop a "tool box" of strategies to deal with challenges, improve self-esteem, find ways to get their needs met. and develop skills to create healthier relationships.

Jennifer Sklar

Jennifer has a Master of Science from Loyola University in Counseling Psychology and a Certificate of Advanced Study from Towson University in School Psychology. She draws upon her educational background and ongoing professional training as well as more than thirteen years as a nationally-certified school psychologist to address such issues as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, trauma, ADHD, and OCD with her clients. In her work with adults, adolescents, families, and couples, Jennifer incorporates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy with principles of motivational interviewing and mindfulness. Jennifer’s goal is to help her clients be present in the moment and learn to recognize irrational and negative thoughts that so often affect how we interpret our world. In so doing, Jennifer hopes to empower her clients to have better control over their own emotional responses and, ultimately, their ability to listen to that still, small voice that guides them toward what is healthy and what makes them whole.

Shannon Moore LCSW-C

In the over fourteen years that I have been a clinician, I have primarily worked with at risk children and families in a variety of settings including foster care, group homes, residential, and detention facilities. I have provided crisis intervention, individual, family and group counseling, completed Psychosocial evaluations, determined DSM V diagnosis as well as developed treatment plans for interventions.

I work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, behavioral concerns and life transitions. I counsel using the latest evidence based skills and techniques. My focus is on using a very positive and nonjudgmental approach, I offer both short and longer term counseling, to foster resiliency and recovery.

Mark O’Neill LCSW-C

Mark O’Neill, LCSW-C is a licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30+ years experience in a variety of mental health settings including inpatient, outpatient and partial hospital settings. He has worked with people who have a variety of psychiatric and adjustment problems including severe mental illnesses, anxiety, depression, marital and general adjustment problems. He works with individuals and couples utilizing behavioral, interpersonal and psychodynamic approaches.
