Silke HVAC is a privately owned Manufacturer’s Representative with HVAC experience since 1982. This experience makes us capable of assisting Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Contractors, and End Users with their needs on the wet side of HVAC. We team with the Engineers in design and system layouts, the Contractors on bidding and cost cutting, and the End Users on their savings in operating costs and long term warranty on the life of equipment.
The manufacturers we represent are not new to the industry and are focused on innovative designs that bring on true savings.
Claire Silke

Claire Silke is the youngest of 11 children, born and raised on a dairy farm in Ireland. She helped her family tend to the farm until she went off to attend Rathmines College in Dublin where she passed the Professional I and II exams of the Chartered Accountancy of Ireland. Claire then began her world travels for both personal and professional reasons. She first lived in London, working for Quick Europe, an online information company. She then moved on to the agriculture industry in Israel, the Netherlands, and Greece.
She eventually settled in San Diego and began working with the construction industry in 1990. Since then she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from San Diego State University and passed the exams to become a Certified Public Accountant.
Having served the construction industry since 1990, Claire is very familiar with many local companies.
Mark Silke
Vice President
Mark Silke has been a Sales Engineer in the HVAC industry of San Diego since 1982, which has given him a great deal of knowledge and experience with products and system layouts on the wet side of HVAC. He was a Sales Engineer with Elmco Duddy for 9 years, and for 18 years prior to that was with Dawson Company where he was a Sales Engineer and a Principal of the company.
Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics were the focus of his studies at SDSU and Cal Poly Pomona before getting into the HVAC industry in 1982.
Mark has been an ASHRAE Member since 1985. He is on the ASHRAE Board of Governors and has chaired the committee for Special Events since 2006. Mark was on the committee that started the ASHRAE Golf Tournament in 1989 and has been on the Tournament Committee every year since, several times acting as committee chair.
