Soil and PH testing - The starting point of plant health

Deep Root Fertilization Injections

The second foundation of plant health. The process of injecting water, air, fertilizer, insecticides and other soil enhancers directly to the plants root zone. This promotes healthy and strong root growth to develop a stronger resistance to disease, drought and insect damage without driving a surge of unnecessary growth.

Dormant/horticulture Oil Applications

Horticultural (or mineral) oil is an effective and ecologically natural defense to prevent mites and other pests from eating or sucking at trees and shrubs. This oil-based treatment has been used on fruit trees in their dormant season to kill pests like aphids and mites, while protecting pollinating bees during spring and summer months. Although this is classified as a pesticide and should always be used according to the label, horticultural oil is considered to be safe for use around pets and humans, making it one of the most organic treatments Plant Health Service offers.

Insect Protection/Control Applications

We perform targeted monitoring based scouting on the plant material in the landscape. The timing of scouting visits is scheduled by temperature-based pest emergence data rather than the annual date on the calendar. This data allows us to catch pest issues in the early stages, instead of when they have already become problematic infestations. We employ a “least toxic, yet effective” approach, meaning we choose products and techniques that minimize impacts on non-target organisms such as pollinators.

Disease Protection/Control Applications

We perform targeted monitoring based on the plant material in the landscape. The timing of scouting visits is scheduled by temperature-based pest emergence data. This data allows us to catch pest issues in the early stages, alternatively to when they have already become problematic infections.

Bedding Pre-Emergent/Weed Control

The use of pre-emergent herbicides in beds helps prevent and minimize the germination of unwanted seeds. More commonly used in lawns to prevent germination of weed seeds. Keep the appearance of your beds weed free and prevent weeds from extracting water and nutrients from your plants.
