ORTHODONTICS
WE'RE HERE TO STRAIGHTEN THINGS OUT
Our teeth can seriously affect the way we view ourselves. Damaged teeth can hinder our confidence, but a beautiful smile can do wonders for both health and confidence. That's why orthodontic services are important for children and adults alike.
Why Should I See an Orthodontist?
Orthodontic services can resolve issues such as crooked teeth, overbites, under-bites, crowded teeth, and gaps. These issues can affect appearance and confidence and can cause difficulties with eating, speaking, and other oral functions. Here are some other reasons to see an orthodontist:
- Teeth that are not straight can cause difficulties cleaning teeth and gums.
Lack of thorough cleaning can lead to problems in the future such as gingivitis.
- Help improve your first impressions.
We all know that smiles say a lot when meeting new people.
- Issues with biting and chewing.
- Undesirable facial profile due to misalignment of jaws.

BRACES
It's important to take on every day feeling your absolute best with a smile. But if you don't feel truly confident with your teeth, you might hold back from showing them. This can lead to self-esteem issues and can prevent you from maki9ng a positive impression at work, social gatherings, and more.
Want straighter teeth for the winning smile? It might be the time to consider braces.
When people think of braces, they still tend to picture kids with mouths full of metal . Traditionally, braces consist of brackets made out of metal that the orthodontist glues to your teeth. These brackets then get tied together with tiny rubber bands and wires. Although this kind of braces has evolved over the years, they remain conspicuous and can prove uncomfortable due to their components. More complex dental issues may still require traditional metal braces.
Braces are primarily used to straighten teeth, but they have many other functions as well. Braces can fix overbites and under-bites, which improves the overall appearance and can solve issues such as difficulty with eating and speaking. Braces can also close gaps in the teeth. Braces can straighten all teeth, align them, and bring them within an appropriate distance of one another to result in a beautiful smile.
ADULT BRACES
It's never too late to get braces. Whether your teeth have been crooked for years, or you gradually developed dental misalignment from poor habits, adult braces can be a perfect solution for your teeth. Adult braces are a common appliance in orthodontics. They remain in your mouth for at least one year and can improve the permanent appearance and health of your teeth.
If you're looking to get adult braces in Philadelphia, consider receiving your orthodontic services at Center City Emergency Dentists. our orthodontist, Dr. Han Lee, focuses on orthodontics for children and adults alike to give all patients a smile to show off.
If you want an alternative and non-visible option, consider getting Invisalign, which performs the same function as braces but are virtually invisible.
INVISALIGN
Invisalign serves as an elegant alternative to traditional braces. This treatment consists of clear material molded to your teeth, rendering them virtually undetectable!
WHY CHOOSE INVISALIGN?
It's understandable that adults often don't like the appearance of braces. Regular braces, while helpful, are fairly noticeable and take a while to adjust and straighten the positioning of your teeth. If you want a quick, virtually invisible method for getting a beautiful new smile, consider getting Invisalign.
INVISALIGN VS. TRADITIONAL BRACES
Invisalign serves as an elegant alternative to traditional braces. Invisalign for adults (and teens) consists of clear material molded to each patient's teeth, rendering them virtually undetectable. They do require a bit more discipline than traditional braces. Patients need to take them out for meals or for drinking anything other than water, and aligner trays must be switched every two weeks. Traditional braces also help to rotate or move teeth vertically and effectively.
At CCED, we work with each patient to ensure that they receive the treatment that’s right for them. Although traditional braces continue to serve as the best solution for certain dental issues. Invisalign remains a beautiful, subtle option for patients that want to let their smile shine. Invisalign for adults can keep your confidence levels high and straighten your teeth at the same time.
INVISALIGN TREATMENT
We understand a big impact Invisalign makes on the appearance on your teeth as well as major financial decisions. Our orthodontist, Dr. Han Lee, holds the appropriate training to conduct Invisalign treatment and inform you of its benefits and all of the factors that go into it. As a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Dr. Han Lee will work alongside with you to decide whether Invisalign treatment is the best choice for you and walk you through the process.
THE PROCESS
To begin the treatment, we produce a digital image of your teeth through 3D scanning. Aligners will then be used to specifically fit your teeth. Patients are recommended to change aligners once a week and wear them for 20-22 hours a day. It is important to take these aligners out when it’s time to ear, brush teeth, and floss.
